Ruiz Jr vs Joshua II: Anthony Joshua says ‘stopping isn’t in my DNA’ as he faces off with Andy Ruiz Jr in New York

Anthony Joshua warned”I have another opportunity” as he went face to face with Andy Ruiz Jr in a press conference in New York.
Where Ruiz Jr shocked Joshua earlier this year, before their rematch on December 7 in Saudi Arabia, live on Sky Sports Box Office, the rivals fulfilled from the city.
IBF, WBA and WBO title-holder Ruiz Jr, wearing a sombrero, only broke in an intense face-off when he heard calls of”let’s move champ” from the onlooking Shannon Briggs, the former heavyweight champion from New York.
Joshua previously explained:”In my short 11-year career, from the amateurs to the experts, I’ve seen a whole good deal. I have definitely noticed a good deal, although I would not say I’ve seen all of it.
“There were times once I faced defeat as an amateur. My third fight. Imagine I ceased there could be now. I lost in the Championship quarter-finals. Picture I ceased then, there could be today.
“I dropped in the World Championship finals. Imagine I ceased there will be. Stopping isn’t in my DNA. I will keep fighting for the enthusiasm of boxing and more so as an ambassador for championship-level fighting. That’s where I belong.
“I had been born with a battling spirit. I know how to battle.
“People say,’you lost your titles’. I say,’to shed something is not to get it back’.
“I have another opportunity on December 7. I used ton’t have a warm-up fight, I’m not gun-shy.
“Shannon Briggs talks about the days he had been down and out, and nobody else believed in him.
“That’s where’let us move champ’ comes into my life right now.”
Joshua subsequently called on Briggs to yell his catchphrase and he responded with a loudly:”Let’s go champ!”
Ruiz Jr mentioned in New York:”That is really where I became the primary Mexican heavyweight champion of the world.
“However, I understand Joshua wants his belts back. I know how it feels to lose – I dropped to Joseph Parker when I thought I had won. Joshua can bounce back. My job isn’t to allow him get back the straps.
“I’ve had doubters my whole lifetime, telling me I would do nothing because of my appearance. Only because of the way I looked.
“Individuals are now able to say,’when he did it, I could do it’.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn added:”That is a gorgeous, brutal sport and each fighter deserves respect but both of these are excellent role models and great ambassadors. This might be the heavyweight occasion of our creation.”
Joshua and Ruiz Jr fulfilled in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday about a media tour’s first leg. They reconvene on Friday.
